Must read.April 16, 2011Paul JFairfax, VAAge: 55-65Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is a great presentation of the theology and politics of the Northern vs Southern Kingdoms of the Promised Land. I'm very well read and I still learned quite a few things from this book. Just one error on page 134, it says mistakenly that the tribe of Dan was almost wiped out, it was the tribe of Benjamin. I love when page 158 says that it was a man and wife couple on the way to Emmaus when Jesus appeared to them, not two men.
This book clearly explains what the Patriarchs, Judges, Kings and Prophets were up to and why. It's a must read for Bible scholars, beginners or advanced.
chms4 Stars Out Of 5December 29, 2010chmsQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 4I bought it for a Christmas gift. Ordered it beginning of Dec. and didn't learn that it was on backorder until after I purchased it. It was the cheapest price which was nice but didn't arrive until 12.29.10 which was kind of a bummer. I would actually love to have this book myself as I have heard many wonderful things about it and I really like Jeff Cavins!
