I picked this book up and quite literally could not put it down until I finished reading it. Wait for Me is worth every hour of sleep sacrificed and then some! There isn't anything boring or predictable about this highly anticipated romance.

Pete is irresistibly charming and courageous to boot. His surprising vulnerability makes me love him even more. When those tough (and a little bit wild) rescuer types are willing to reveal their raw and honest selves, that is to be cherished.

Jess is torn between two lives and two fiancs. I'm pretty sure there isn't a guidebook for reconciling two very different lifestyles while keeping everyone in your life happy and bless her heart, that's exactly what tender-hearted Jess wants to do.

The delightful complexity and pulse rocking adventure readers have come to associate with Warren's expansive fictional universe shines once more in this exciting Montana Rescue series conclusion. I personally plan to binge read the entire series at my earliest opportunity!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and was under no obligation to post a review. The opinions expressed are my own.

Hold on to your hats when you start reading this book! From beginning to end this novel was gripping and impossible to put down. Action, adventure, romance, faith. It was all there and then some. The settings and complex characters were amazing to get caught up in. And talk about jaw-dropping twists and turns! A must read for anyone seeking adventure, suspense, and knee-weakening romance.

"He wasn't looking for trouble, but if Pete didn't act right now, at least one person was going to die." And so it begins -- the much anticipated/dreaded conclusion to Susan May Warren's Montana Rescue series. I'm in an addlepated stupor of bookish proportions but will try to rally long enough to write this review.

So Jess....gah! And Pete...whimper. And Jess and Pete...I can't even...I mean, honestly -- I adore Pete. I'm madly in love with Pete. I kept telling Pete, "Forget about Jess. I'm right here. Ready to make all your dreams come true!" But did he pay me any attention? Pffft. Sigh. I guess I can cut him some slack with all the bullet-flying-car-crashing-cliff-dangling etc. distractions Warren placed in his way. Clearly he had more on his mind than one simpering, swoony reader fangirling all over him but it still cuts.

And that Jess --- I. Have. No. Words. Well, expect, maybe to say that if any heroine in all the fictional heroines in the world ever deserved a good purse whomping -- it's Jess Tagg. And I would have followed through except that Warren did her own diabolical version of purse whomping in multiple harrowing ways so I felt sorry for Jess and gave her a pass. :-)

The whole Montana Rescue crew makes multiple appearances in this sixth and final installment which was scrumptious but leaves me with one burning question: What is it with all these long engagements you guys?!

As always, Warren deftly weaves an inspirational thread through the chaos and mayhem which actually makes it all the more poignant. "Yeah. I'm talking about God's love, Pete. You gotta start trusting in God's love for you. For Jess. Lean into it. Let it change you. Let it set you free."

A breath-snatching, tail-spinning, mind-blowing conclusion to one of my favourite series! I'm still feeling a bit shell-shocked but I'd go through every nerve wracking moment all over again. In fact, I likely will because this set goes on my keeper shelf to be enjoyed again at some future date.

When Pete hears that Jess is missing, he doesn't think twice about going out to find her. Because that is what love does. It rescues with no thought of cost or whether the love will be returned. Though it wasn't referenced specifically in the story, as I read of his desperate search for her, I couldn't help but think about the scripture that talks about how the Good Shepherd leaves the ninety-nine sheep who are safe to go find the one who is lost. My entire picture of that passage changed from a view of a relatively simple search to one more like the kind that went on here - through perilous circumstances, sacrificing everything to save the lost sheep. Wow! Because the things Jesus went through to rescue me weren't easy or simple.

In case you haven't figure it out yet, I was profoundly touched by this story. The sacrificial kind of love shown by Pete, who had no hope of having his love returned, was also shown by Ned. Ned first appeared in Storm Front and he returns in this story to see if the attraction he felt was returned. And in the process, he is severely injured along with Jess and the love of his life. As they escape from a kidnapper, he fights through his pain to carry his love, who is now close to death, to whatever safety they can find. (I won't reveal her name in case you haven't started the series yet - that could be a spoiler.)

Every page I turned had another twist. Each time they thought they were safe, they found out they weren't. Floods, kidnappings, attempted murder, jealousy. Yep. It is all here, and more.

With the stories from the previous novels being so closely linked to this one, it was necessary for the author to do some recapping. She did a marvelous job in providing the backstory in a manner that flowed well and didn't feel even remotely like an information dump. It seriously may have been the best I've ever seen. In addition, details from the past year from both Pete and Jess' lives needed to be revealed, and again, the way that was done was masterful.

This was an amazing conclusion to an already thrilling series!

Susan May Warren has done it again. This book is the end of the Montana Rescue series and does not disappoint. The reader wanders if Jess and Pete will get together. After a bit of in decision by Jess the story has a happy ending.

The Montana Rescue series has been my favorite Susan May Warren series to date? Packed full of adventure, romance, and suspense the series provides something for everyone.
