Author/Artist Review

Author: Judy Janowski

Tell us a little about yourself.  I never thought about becoming a writer. One summer day I was talking with an elderly neighbor and afterwards a thought kept rotating around in my head. Finally wrote it down and basically kept on writing. Didn't know I could write in rhyme. Neither did I know I had so much to say!

What was your motivation behind this project?  When I put my simple little rhymes on the computer it became an observation with an application followed by scripture - without any forethought. Divided up the subjects into chapters and the chapters even had a rhyme to them. The title came to me one day when I was coming in from gardening.

What do you hope folks will gain from this project?  Life Is a Garden Party will teach one about gardening but also how to apply God's principles and promises to everyday happenings. For instance, I call my compost pile garbage mouth. It's a reminder to let my conversation be filled with grace.

How were you personally impacted by working on this project?  This project is helping me to grow spiritually.

Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists?  Most of my sources of inspiration have been my parents or grandparents. A family legacy of gardeners.
