GenipherAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Loved Watching!February 9, 2016GenipherAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5The little kids (6 and under) wandered off after the first 15 minutes or so, but my 9 and 11 year old loved watching this with me. They even begged to watch it again when their dad got home.
Days later, they were remembering and sharing facts about the planets that I had completely spaced (pun intended).
I am now ordering part 2: Stars and Galaxies. The kids can't wait to see the next dvd!
SnapplesCharlotte, NCAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Tremendous amount of info, easy to understandApril 1, 2013SnapplesCharlotte, NCAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This DVD was a great supplement to our Apologia Astronomy homeschooling text. Our 8 and 5 year old boys enjoy reviewing this DVD in different lengths of time (the little guy can't sit so long, but still enjoys). The DVD has abundant and easy to understand information. For each planet it explains the Evolution theory and disproves it; and then also explains Creation. Excellent informational DVD. Highly recommend.

MaryRTOPhilippinesAge: 35-44Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Very good supplement for Apologia AstronomyDecember 25, 2012MaryRTOPhilippinesAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4I ordered this DVD to supplement our Apologia Astronomy book. It has a lot of excellent images and graphics to support the book. My children loved it (4, 5 and 6 y.o. preschoolers and first grader) even if they didn't understand all of it. I thought the way the material was presented went a little too fast for them but they didn't complain. The DVD would be more appropriate for 9 years old and above to get the most out of the content. As far as meeting my objective of reducing the time I had to read the Astronomy book aloud, it didn't. But it helped by giving the children something visual to grasp (aside from the images in the book) when I read the book aloud, meaning it made it easier to explain the book to them. It reduced the time I had to explain the book content.
Overall, I highly recommend the DVD as a good supplement to Apologia Astronomy.
wridegirlAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Great aid when studying astronomySeptember 25, 2012wridegirlAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I love that this video gives the information one planet at a time. It makes it easier to digest and break up when teaching to a younger crowd and has worked well as a supplement to our apologia astronomy course this year. It has been VERY informative.
