we found the reader very monotone and for a grade 2 student this did not capture the attention as i hoped. maybe fine for grade 5 and up.

I love that we can listen to history on the go. All of my kids listen intently to the stories as they are played in the car. Bonus: it minimizes them arguing in the car :)

This series is very good. For those who are saying it is inaccurate or not Biblically based, I respectfully say to go back and check your history. The whole world does not, and did not, believe in God, and this series presents history the way the people lived it. We would not be doing our jobs as Christian home-educators if we did not present history accurately while still teaching our children about God's love and HIS plan for the world. We can lovingly say that not all people have believed in God, but this is why we do. This series pulls from the Bible when it can and uses historical resources for the rest. Also, for the comment about not using the Bible accurately, Genesis 17:21 says, "...Sarah shall bear to you at this set time NEXT YEAR." Ishmael was 14 when Isaac was born a year after God's promise to Abraham and Isaac. All I am saying is that if you are looking for historical accuracy, do your research first. This is not a Bible curriculum, it is a history curriculum and deserves to be treated as such.

We use Abeka curriculum, and use this to add to our history, my son loves theses cd's , I also use "The Bible" dvds that we own , to add more history of Christianity to the same time era.

Dont buy this.

i ordered this thinking it was a Christian product.
