Lisa5 Stars Out Of 5We're BIG Story of the World fans!November 15, 2016LisaQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I appreciate that Story of the World gives an historical overview that includes Asia, Africa and Oceania. It is refreshing to find a curriculum with a global perspective.
My 11 year old son listens to SOTW walking around the house with my old discman for hours and hours. He now has a good grasp of historical periods/timeline and how they have influenced our world today.
Lou2 Stars Out Of 5Don't waste your moneyOctober 29, 2016LouQuality: 2Value: 2Meets Expectations: 2The writer of this book really needs to go back and read the book of Genesis. It states that God told Abraham that he would have a son and a year later Isaac was born. It was, in fact a long, long time before Isaac was born. As others have said there is myth mixed in with half truths in this book. How is a parent, who may not be firm in their faith, supposed to guide a child through this? Or perhaps the parent knows nothing of the bible in the first place? Unfortunately, they may be misled. It is quite a shame.
shannonC.5 Stars Out Of 5Story of the World is a hit!November 4, 2015shannonC.Quality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0Absolutely a must for History education! We also use The Mystery of History which we just Love. Using the combination has been so interesting as we learn more about the subject.
As always the narrator Jim Weiss keeps his audience interested and wanting more! The Book and the audiobook are filled with interesting tidbits you wouldn't find in an average history book. I would recommend for any age Even adults!
