My daughter, 12, thoroughly enjoyed this book series! So much so, that we purchased other books from this author. It was an exciting series, but a very healthy series, no wordliness.

My children love this series! This specific book gave my children many nights of enjoyment during story time. They would beg for more most nights. They have purchased the last two books with their allowance because this book has left them with such a feeling of ... what is going to happen next!?! It does deal with the tough questions of Bree being a slave yet being free and can God still heal. My twin boys are 9 and I would recommend this for 7 and up.

The minute I started reading I didn't want to put the book down. I think everyone should read this book. It's a good book about trusting God.

The Invisible Friend is the third book in the Viking Quest series. In this series, Bree and her brother, Devon (check spelling) are captured by Viking raiders (as was their sister, Keely, seven years before them). Devin is set free in the first book so he can return home to Ireland and secure ransom for his sisters Brees release. In this book, Devin returns with the ransom money, but Brees release is not immediately secured as there are, of course, complications. Devin is imprisoned and must await trail. In the meantime, Bree discovers their sister Keely is not only alive, she is living in the same part of Normandy as Bree and Devin are now.Throughout all their troubles and tribulations, the siblings remain strong in their faith. There are pencil sketch illustrations at the beginning of some of the chapters that illustrate a key concept from that particular chapter. What I Like: I have only read the first book and this book in the series, so I didnt know what happened between books one and three. However, the author did a good job of filling in the blank spaces by backtracking and adding things from the first two books, so I have a pretty good idea what happened in book two. What I Dislike: Nothing.Overall Rating: Very good.

This teaches that God is your invisible friend,He is all ways with you. You need never fear. I'm almost done with the forth book, and am looking forward to the fifth.
