Horse lover5 Stars Out Of 5MY FAVORITE BOOK SERIESOctober 21, 2019Horse loverQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is my favorite book series. I love how quality the stories are, and how there is action, suspense, little bit of love, and mystery all woven into it. I am definitely hard to please when it comes to books, but this series TOPS ALL!!!! I love it. (btw, I am a 14 yr old, and I think this book is great for teens!)

churchlibrarylady5 Stars Out Of 5Love this series for our home & church library!February 11, 2016churchlibraryladyQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This was purchased for our church library. We have lots of books for children, but I am trying to expand our offerings for youth, both fiction and nonfiction. This is an exciting fictional book full of adventure from the first chapter. It would appeal to both sexes from upper elementary upward because it switches between the story lines of male and female siblings who are both captured but separated. As an adult, it kept me reading and reminded me of trips to Ireland and Norway! It felt natural the way the book highlighted Christian faith by contrasting the beliefs of the Viking captors with their Irish, Christian captives. The second book in the series is just as good. I will probably order the rest of the series for our library and will encourage my own middle school and upper elementary kids to read these!

SnapplesCharlotte, NCAge: 45-54Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5Outstanding and highly God honoringJanuary 4, 2016SnapplesCharlotte, NCAge: 45-54Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This books is well written and has a sophistication to the story not found in all children's or teen's books. My kids loved the historical context and perspective of a male and a female hero/heroine/role models. My husband and I shared the read aloud to our children and I'm interested in reading through myself. My 8 year old shared in some of the reading very briefly and completed a "book response" assignment for school earning a solid grade so it really kept his interest and enthusiasm to follow through in reading and in thought. My husband was extremely impressed and asked me to purchase the next in the series. I loved the concepts of standing strong in faith even in adversity, honoring and trusting God as well as overall Christian values worked into the story! Outstanding!

We borrowed it from a friend and just had to purchase our own set. We read these as a read aloud while studying the Vikings in our home-school. What a great historical fiction series that is God honoring! None of us ever wanted to stop reading. It was very hard to put them down and move on to other things. The relationship between the brother and sister is very sweet and lots of great character traits to explore throughout the series. Highly recommended! You will want to read them in order and of course read them all!
