DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR VICTORY?
DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR STING?
It has been said that death is one of the last taboos. Even Christians confident of their salvation are often uncomfortable with thoughts of death.
With his trademark compassion, pastoral wisdom, and insightful biblical exposition, Dr. Lutzer guides the reader to a deeper understanding of the meaning of the empty tomb, addressing issues like:
- Can Christians believe and still doubt?
- Death: The end that comes to us all
- Dying in the care of Jesus
- Your resurrection body
This honest discussion about the end of our earthly livesand the beginning of our glorious, eternal liveswill comfort and encourage, as we learn how Christ has replaced death's terror with triumph.
Paul Harper5 Stars Out Of 5September 4, 2009Paul HarperExcellent book! The special price was fantastic. After I read the book, I bought 20 more to give to friends who may be facing the death of a loved one or know someone who is.
James M. Scott4 Stars Out Of 5July 23, 2009James M. ScottVery good explanation of the end of life experience and what the believer can look forward to. Was able to share portions with my Sunday school class.
Betty Kaminski5 Stars Out Of 5July 23, 2009Betty KaminskiI bought this book for a dear friend who is struggling with the fear of dying as well as a copy for myself. Having dealt with many love ones who have passed away from sickness, I highly recommend giving this book to any who are facing the day of death soon to be upon them. It's human nature to be affraid of the unknown. Within it's pages, this book can offer some comfort and insight to what we as humans fear most. It could be our last, best gift to give to someone we love before they leave this life!
Janice Bragdon5 Stars Out Of 5June 17, 2008Janice BragdonA powerful book to encourage believers and entice unbelievers to seek the only qualified Saviour who has defeated Satan and delivered us from the fear of death. Dr. Lutzer has a unique ability to clarify issues and illumine scripture like few others. I went back and ordered 4 more books to give to others.
Patricia Smith3 Stars Out Of 5June 9, 2008Patricia SmithA bit hard to get into and probably not one ofhis best books, but not without merit.
