We are reading fools over at our house especially as we educate at home! We enjoyed the earlier "Honey for a Child's Heart" books as it gave us many good recommendations. I would caution readers to use discernment when looking through this book's lists. This author is a fan of Harry Potter books, which I understand is controversial among evangelicals. I get it, and that wouldn't stop me from getting this book...BUT...she recommends Brian McLaren and Peter Kreeft both of which present some very heretical points of view. I'm disappointed at this book so far. Not everything in this book is based on what is biblically sound, which is no surprise in this age of apostasy, but just wanted to let those who care know.

I have an 11 year old 5th grade boy that reads up to an 11/12th grade level. It becomes harder and harder to find suitable material for him to read that challenges his reading level and is content appropriate. Honey For a Teen's Heart is an excellent resource providing reviews and insightful information that helps us work together to choose books for him to read. The book lists provide useful information about the books and authors, as well as helpful questions and ideas to ponder as he reads. This book significantly aids our process of finding content and level appropriate reading material.

This was very helpful for us. My daughter loves to read and it it so hard to know if the books she gets from the library are acceptable for our values. Now we have lots to choose from.
