ETutwilerMascoutah, ILAge: 25-34Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5"Biblical, pratical, masterful" ~ Jerry BridgesMarch 13, 2013ETutwilerMascoutah, ILAge: 25-34Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This was a very convicting book. Mr. Jones does an excellent job of providing a biblical definition of anger using the text of Scripture, principles of Scripture, and examples in Scripture. He also provides very practical ways of properly dealing with anger in a way that not only roots out the anger issue, but does so in a way that pleases and honors God (and this should be your primary reason for doing so). Mr. Jones provides other recommendations of extra resources with biblical foundations to assist. The Appendix has a number of homework assignments to help as well.
This book not only showed me how to deal with the anger issues I knew I had but also revealed the other ways my anger manifested itself in my daily living
Excellent resource and MUST read whether you are angry or not!
Brian Rhodes5 Stars Out Of 5August 23, 2010Brian RhodesI have had concealed anger for a long time. The chapter that deals with concealed anger has helped a lot already. Uplifting others who have grieved me and confessing my anger from the heart has helped tremendously. It is my prayer that others who struggle with this problem will get a hold of "Uprooting Anger."
Tim Von Handorf5 Stars Out Of 5June 9, 2009Tim Von HandorfExcellent book. This book has opened my eyes to who I am and has completely changed my outlook on life. I have struggled with anger since I was a child, but now I know how to handle it in a Christ-like way. My life is changed forever and I like who I am now. If you struggle with anger, this is an absolute must read.
Donna Dillon5 Stars Out Of 5March 27, 2009Donna DillonVery well written explanation of the difference between sinful and not sinful anger. Jones does a very good job a helping the reader understand the righteousness of the anger Jesus "choose" and explains how anger is not just an emotion. I think this is now my number 1 anger management book. Worth the money.
