Lorraine5 Stars Out Of 5The Unquenchable FlameNovember 27, 2017LorraineQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Really enjoyed the book. A lot of good, well researched material in 192 pages. It was interesting to learn about the many people and events that brought about the Reformation. I could feel the groundswell of change that was sweeping over Europe. I read it as part of a book club, and was surprised how many readers knew little about the Reformation. Some in the group found the "dark side" of church history disturbing while others found it fascinating.

I am very knowledgeable on Reformation History & have read many, many Puritan Authors books and yet I still learnt facts I did not know. This is an easy reading overview of the reason for & different views of the Reformers with Catholic Theology and Papist rule. If You do not know the meaning of "Justification by Faith Alone" (ALONE!!!) or Scripture Alone (as GOD's WORD) as the Ultimate authority over ALL manmade rules/Kings/Popes/Theology then this is "A MUST READ". Simple & not Heavy, yet very Meaty. A great starting point for further study of the Reformation History to this present age.
