Tremendous freedom is found when we start each day without a yesterday hanging over our heads. This book invites you to wake up daily acting and thinking toward your husband as if there was no yesterday to overcome--as if there were no hurts or offenses, and no record of right or wrong. As you complete 21 daily challenges, you ll be reminded of how you felt and acted when you first fell in love. As you remember what you did and how you felt in those early days, you ll see that to keep love from ending, sometimes you have to go back to the beginning.
This book isn't just for those with struggling marriages. It is for anyone who wants to fall in love again with the person they have already chosen for life."
KristenGrabill, INAge: 25-34Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5A Marriage Book for Every Busy MomNovember 28, 2016KristenGrabill, INAge: 25-34Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I read Becky's book called Hope Unfolding and it was one of those books that spoke directly to my heart. For that reason, I was very eager to read Becky's newest book, Love Unending. I was able to get an advance reading copy and dove into it.
Hope Unfolding is written for mothers and to provide encouragement for our day to day life as mom. Love Unending is written to encourage busy mothers to focus (again) on our husband and our marriage. Because, really, how can you have a strong family if you don't have a strong marriage? This is something I believe wholeheartedly.
Becky wrote Love Unending as a 21 day challenge. Each day is a task that we are supposed to do for our husband's. Very little of it requires him or his knowledge. Rather, each task encourages us to focus on thoughts, words and actions on nurturing the love we have for our husband.
Yes, love changes when we have children. Yes, some days seem too busy to think of anything other than surviving. But, yes, our marriage needs to be nurtured.
I admit that I read more than one task at a time. I liked how the book reminded me that I married my husband before there were children. And I will still be his wife after the children are grown. There is a lot of simple but good, heart-felt marriage advice in this book.
My only critique? I felt like Becky referenced her parent's marriage a lot but if they really do have a wonderful marriage, and that is the example you have grown up with, it makes sense. I appreciated the examples from her life and marriage more since I knew it was a first-hand account, rather than an observer's account of a Christ-centered marriage.
If you are interested in rediscovering your marriage in the midst of motherhood, read Love Unending. And be sure to read Hope Unfolding, too!
I received this book for free from Blogging for Books in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.
Maureen5 Stars Out Of 5A Marriage Game ChangerNovember 13, 2016MaureenQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0After a difficult pregnancy and with a toddler and brand new baby at home, as well as my husband's job layoff, my husband and I were disconnected to say the least. I felt it would take a miracle to get us back on track, the task felt so daunting! That miracle came with Thompson's book, Love Unending - a practical 21 day, prayer-filled challenge for wives. There are other books like this, as well, but this one was different - it catered to the mama's heart, addressed issues that are specific to marriage with kids and babies. What a SUCCESS! It saved us before things continued on a downward spiral. Thank you, Becky, for your wonderful work! I will continue doing these challenges until the end of my days and will recommend this book to every mother and wife I know!

Lizzie Smiley5 Stars Out Of 5A healthy reminder that before I was mommy, I was Mrs.November 7, 2016Lizzie SmileyQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I walked right up to my husband, wrapped my arms around his neck, gave him a kiss, and then pulled him in to a warm hug.
"What was that for?" He asked, smiling.
"I just realized I have the marriage of my dreams, that's all."
This is what has culminated after 15 days of reading Becky Thompson of @scissortail silk's new book-- "Love Unending: Rediscovering your marriage in the midst of motherhood."
Don't get me wrong. We weren't in marriage turmoil or crisis before. Neither of us would have said we were unhappy. But we were living more like really friendly roommates than two people deep in love and sharing a covenant with each other and God.
Somewhere between the bills and the spills we had become routinely unromantic. Kids will do that to you. ❤️
This book was a practical, biblical, and thought provoking reminder of how precious marriage is and where to start rebuilding when it gets off track. I have a hunch this could not only improve complacent relationships, but also resurrect desperate ones. I highly recommend it.
Lauren5 Stars Out Of 5Just what I neededNovember 2, 2016LaurenQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Love Unending was just the book I was looking for to help me refocus. I became a mom six months ago. It has been the most rewarding yet difficult and challenging jobs I have had. In addition to mom, I also juggle the hat of a teacher. Working full time, raising our son and trying to be the best wife I can be is hard. But Beckys book gives practical ways to help keep my marriage a priority in the midst of the every day craziness. Each day you read a story from her life, are given a new challenge to strengthen your relationship with your husband, have time for predicting how your husband will react and then a reflection time. Each chapter is manageable to read in a short amount of time. I hope you find the book as helpful as I have! I cant wait to reread it.
