Under the Eye traces the journey of one woman in the same condition who against hope... found it.
Sweeping from a prosperous early life into extreme adversity and struggle, Brenda Lane's Under the Eye traces the encouraging life of one woman who refused to give up her faith, even in the most trying circumstances. She was rewarded by the ever present companionship of her faithful God.
This story traces her life and the amazing gift that God used to keep her strong and to eventually turn her life around. At times funny, touching, and astonishing, Under the Eye demonstrates the phenominal way that God works in our lives.

Tell us a little about yourself. I was raised on the northwest coast of California, later moving to the idyllic mountains above the Napa Valley. I would earn my first degree as a Bible Instructor there, later marrying, moving to the San Luis Obispo area of Southern California where I would give birth to my three children. After a divorce I would return to the Napa Valley securing my second degree in Engineering Technology (drafting and design). I worked several years designing homes and small businesses in central California.
But the one distinguishing thing that occurred in my life happened at the age of 22. It was then that I gave my heart to Christ and an extraordinary life began to unfold.
At the age of 31 without prior training or experience I would begin to hear and convey music. The music covered many genres. God was carrying me through extremely hard times with the kiss of hope in my heart. I have penned this journey in my first book, Under the Eye a Composers Journey; published by WestBow Press, a division of Thomas Nelson. Find more books and the music on my website.
What was your motivation behind this project? As I shared in concerts the stories behind the songs, audience members would later tearfully share how my life experience had given them hope. I was continually asked to write my life story. Inspired by their reactions I finally penned the book.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? Hope.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? The hardest part of writing my book was re-living the torturous experiences in my life those experiences before the deliverance. But it was in the re-telling of the awesome deliverances that kept my pen firmly planted on the page.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: If you need some laughter, some mouth-opening wonder, or just a little encouragement for the daily doldrums of life, pick up the book and read it. My readers have come from all walks of life; men and women who have faced or are facing terrible setbacks, emotionally paralyzing situations, or are just plain depressed. In Under the Eye they have found moments of inspiration, and a few belly laughs to help them walk through their own personal trials.
