They decide to send him to New Zealand where he will stay with his Uncle Hamish who runs a sheep farm--the same farm where his mom lived as a kid. Josh doesn't think the idea is too bad since they speak the same language, just tweaked in dialect.
The downfall: he'll probably have to stay over Christmas During his visit, Uncle Hamish flips on a four-wheeler and breaks his arm and leg. Now he will have to hire someone to help on the farm. He hires school bully, Neville, who picks on a misfit named Carlton.
Uncle Hamish believes they can witness to Neville and his family. What's going to happen now that Josh and Neville are working together? What's going to happen to Josh's mom? If you want the answers, read this book.
Deb Brammer weaves a great story that will keep readers turning the pages. Christian values are throughout the book without being preachy. Children ages 9-12 will find plenty of action and adventure. Older kids, including myself, found the book intriguing. Highly recommended! -- Jessica Loughner, age 13, Christian Book Previews.com

Tell us a little about yourself. I was raised in a preacher's home and saved at five years old. At Bible college I felt the Lord calling me to write. Then the Lord led me to marry Art Brammer and go into missions. We served in Taiwan for 16 years and have served in New Zealand since 1998.
What was your motivation behind this project? Counseling various people about how to deal with difficult people in their lives helped me see the need to overcome evil with good.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I hope kids will learn how to deal with people who drive them crazy. With the right attitude, they can learn from people who irritate them the most!
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? The people in our mission church in Invercargill, New Zealand took us in as their pastor and family. As I grew to know and love them, I wanted to write about New Zealand. Uncle Hamish grew in my mind until I knew him and wanted to write about him.
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: If you want to make your life count, give it to God and follow Him wherever He leads. He will take care of the details.
