IreneUnited States5 Stars Out Of 5Another Great Suspense Book!September 2, 2015IreneUnited StatesQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This book did not have me on the edge of my seat from the first page but the suspense built over a few chapters. I have always enjoyed books by Terri Blackstock and this one did not disappoint! There is the usual suspense that helps keep this book moving but there is also great family interaction. The way the family of the main character, Holly, pull together to help her and her children is very inspiring. I liked the conversations as they felt like ones real families would have not just quick written conversations to fill the pages. I would recommend this book for anyone who enjoys suspense stories, family stories, Christian fiction and of course Terri Blackstock fans!
I would like to thank the publisher for the copy of this book I enjoyed reading. I gave an honest review based on my opinion of what I read.
alwaysreadingAge: 55-65Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Another good readJune 25, 2015alwaysreadingAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 4Value: 4Meets Expectations: 4Twisted Innocence is the third and final book in Terri Blackstocks Moonlighter Series. While this book is mostly Hollys story, Hollys sisters Cathy and Juliet continue to have sub storylines.
Holly Cramer, former wild child, has her hands full. Part time cab driver, part time P.I. and full time mom to five week old Lily. When Lilys father, unexpectedly shows up to meet his daughter, Holly must rely on God to find the courage to face him.
Framed for a murder he didnt commit and on the run, all Creed Kershaw wants is to meet his infant daughter before he is caught. Unfortunately things go terribly wrong and he is forced to take Holly and Lily with him as he flees.
I loved the transformation that all the sisters underwent. Juliet, learns how to be a single mom on a budget, who desires a deeper relationship with God, Holly settles into her role as responsible citizen, while trying to find the path that God has for her, and Cathy fights to get her fiance Michael released from prision.
I think what appealed to me the most about this book trilogy was the family unit. No matter what the circumstances, they are there for one another, something I think all of us desire, but few experience with other human beings.
Ms. Blackstocks latest book does not disappoint. With her usual flair, she brings to life a truly memorable book that will keep the reader up all night needing to know what is on the next page.
Nancy Mehl5 Stars Out Of 5Blackstock Delivers in Twisted InnocenceJune 14, 2015Nancy MehlQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0Holly Cramer's life was shaped by bad breaks and even worse choices. But after she met Jesus, she began to believe her future didn't have to be shaped by her past. As she struggles to raise her daughter, Lily, and fights to stay on the straight and narrow, a man she hoped she'd never see again turns her world upside down.
Terri Blackstock knows how to create characters readers can identify with. Twisted Innocence's Holly Cramer is imperfect and achingly human. Creed Kershaw, a man who at first glance appears to be a lost cause, stokes our compassion and forces us to empathize with him as he wrestles with the darkness in his soul.
As readers have come to expect, Blackstock combines action, suspense, and empathy in a compelling and satisfying story.
