Terry, OHOHAge: 55-65Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5good mysteryMay 8, 2020Terry, OHOHAge: 55-65Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5A great ending to a series. I would definitely read this series in order. The main characters from book 1 and 2 are also in this book.
I liked how Kate and Drake met. Not knowing each other there were some misunderstandings, realistic ones. Kate finally learns how to let go of the past and live every day to the fullest. Drake also had a lot to learn taking on the responsibility of raising his nieces after their parents have been killed, or was it a murder, suicide?
The mystery was good as always. Lots of twists and turns. I like that there is always more than one mystery going on in her books.
I've not read every one of her books, but I have read most of them. The thing I appreciate is she still writes well and hasn't changed her views and writing on sex and foul language to get more readers. Her books are awesome clean reads.

I didn't feel like not reading the second book left a big hole in the story. Kate rents out a cottage on her property to a handsome single man from Boston, Drake, and his two young nieces. His brother and sister-in-law died shortly before. Kate and Claire were the ones who found the bodies when they were puffin watching. Drake isn't satisfied with the finding that his brother, Heath, killed his wife, Melissa, and then also fell from the cliff, so he starts investigating on his own. Kate is hired as a nanny for the girls and helps Drake with his investigation. There is also a growing attraction between Kate and Drake. Kate is also the target of a stalker. Things get more and more complex so be sure to allow time to read till the end. There is a point in the book where it's almost impossible to put it down until the end is reached. If you like suspense, you'll enjoy this one.

This is the third book in Collen Cobles sunset Cove Series.
Kate Mason has been through much in her young life. The last catastrophe is that her blueberry fields are not producing and she must find a way to make a living, so she decides to rend out the spare cottage that is on her property. As she fixes up the cottage, she prays that God will bring the right person. On a trip into town she meets a newcomer that needs a place to stay for the summer and it seems that God has answered her prayers.
Drake Newham has come to Maine to investigate the death of his brother and sister-in-law. The town sheriff and the coroner have ruled their death accidental, but Drake knew his brother and the more he digs the more he suspects that his brother and sister-in-law were murder. What he doesn't realize is that he may be putting Kate life at risk but staying in her cottage.
We first meet Kate in book # 1, the Inn at Ocean's edge. From the first she was my favorite character, enduring so much in her life and yet not letting it destroy her spirit or her compassion for others. In fact because of these events it seems to make her a stronger character.
I love the interaction between Kate and Drake. They had good chemistry together.
This book was in my opinion the best of the three in this series. The author masterfully crafted a brilliant story of suspense and intrigue that will keep the reader turning the page because you NEED to know what is going to happen on the next page.
Although this is part of a series, it can be read as a standalone. I would definitely recommend this book.

Colleen Coble did not disappoint me with this book. It was right up there all her other books I've read. There were a couple people I thought causing all the trouble , but it turned out to be someone totally different. I had a lot of trouble putting it down. Great book!
