"I need you to keep these girls safe . . ."

Renting out the small cottage on her property seems an obvious choice, but it wont be enough. When entrepreneur Drake Newham shows up looking not only for a place to rent but also for a nanny for his two nieces, its almost too good to be true. And maybe it isbecause Drake brings with him dangerous questions about who might be out to kill his family.
The more time Kate spends with Drake and the girls, the more difficult it becomes to hide her attraction to him. But a family crisis isnt exactly the ideal time to pursue a romance.
Meanwhile, Kate learns that her unclein prison for murderhas escaped. Add to that a local stalker who wont leave her alone, and Kate is looking over her shoulder at every turn. With threats swirling from multiple directions, she wonders if her blueberry fields will ever flourish again . . . or if this twilight is her last.
Set on the beautiful coast of Maine, Twilight at Blueberry Barrens brings together suspense, romance, and the hope that one day new life will come again.
Beverly Duell-moore5 Stars Out Of 5Twilight at Blueberry BarrensDecember 16, 2017Beverly Duell-mooreQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Wow! I don't know what to say about this book! I loved it! Colleen Coble did not disappoint me with this book. It was right up there all her other books I've read. There were a couple people I thought causing all the trouble , but it turned out to be someone totally different. I had a lot of trouble putting it down. Great book!
Seasons of GraceAge: 35-44Gender: female4 Stars Out Of 5Kept me in suspenseJune 22, 2017Seasons of GraceAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 0Value: 0Meets Expectations: 0I enjoyed this book. My favorite character was probably Drake. He was brave, a bit of a knight in shining armor, always ready to rescue the damsel in distress. He was also intelligent, with a really interesting business. Kate was a pretty good character too, although at times she seemed a bit naive, putting herself in danger because she was trying to be brave and make it on her own. And she was also very outspoken at times, which kind of got on my nerves.
The characters I loved to hate, or maybe just hated were the villain - which I won't reveal, but he was sneaky conniving and a little twisted. Kate's uncle, Paul, was also not the most likable character either, but eventually he did come around a bit and wiggle his way into my good graces.
The plot was suspenseful and I really related to the setting of the Blueberry Barrens since my grandmother was a blueberry farmer. This was the third book in the series but the first one I read, so even though it was easy enough to kind of get the drift on the characters, there was a bit of a back story that I obviously missed. It kind of made me want to go back to the beginning to find out how they ended up at this point in their lives.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good mystery and suspense novel. My recommendation would be to start at the beginning of the series though if you haven't already read those. I enjoyed Colleen Coble as as an author. This is only the second book I have read of hers, but both were extremely well written and captured my attention.
I received a copy of this book courtesy of Thomas Nelson and Fiction Guild to read. I was not required to review it positively and all opinions are my own.
Amanda B5 Stars Out Of 5Another great book by Colleen CobleFebruary 23, 2017Amanda BQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Another great book by Colleen Coble!
Kate is looking for what's next in life. She's faced with her family's barren blueberry barrens and needs to find a solution quickly. Drake Newham comes to town with his two nieces, now in his custody, and seems to be the answer to Kate's problems. As Kate gets to know Drake's nieces as their new nanny, new problems seem to creep up as Drake investigates his brother's death. A man's cologne in her home, a mysterious pouch under a blueberry bush, what next? Could the cases by connected, or is all of this related to Kate's uncle, who recently escaped from prison?
I really enjoyed Twilight at Blueberry Barrens. The balance of excitement, suspense and romance is, once again, on point. I loved the description and the pace of the book.
I sincerely thank the Thomas Nelson Fiction Guild for a copy of this book in exchange for a review!
ShaiNorfolk, NEAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5My favorite book in the seriesJanuary 28, 2017ShaiNorfolk, NEAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Colleen Coble does it again with a fabulous story. I loved Twilight at Blueberry Barrens.
Kates character was my favorite because shed endured so much. Shes a fighter. Never willing to just give up, shes overcoming illness and family tragedy. If only she could allow herself to be loved.
Drakes moved to town to solve his brother and sister-in-laws murders. He doesnt agree with the findings and murder/suicide determination. Caring for his two nieces, Drake has become an instant father. Hes got a successful business, but no love in his life. He hires Kate to be his nanny for the summer only to find out she not only knows about the murders, but was one of the first on scene.
Kate is being stalked by someone who has no boundaries. And both Kate and Drake have an enemy theyre not aware of.
Twilight at Blueberry Barrens has it all. Drama. Romance and of course, suspense. Its a great addition to the Sunset Cove series. I received the book from the Fiction Guild and have provided my honest opinion here.
KavRCanadaGender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Great conclusion to the Sunset Cove seriesJanuary 24, 2017KavRCanadaGender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Another thrilling suspense from an author who knows how to create page-turners. Not one stalker but two...or maybe three? Multiple threats coming from all directions. Plenty of twists and turns riddled with angst. I'm still trying to catch my breath!
So many mysterious pieces to a scattered puzzle that need to be put together. Drake and Kate are trying their hardest, not always with the support of the local sheriff's department. And in the process they find their initial attraction growing into something so much more. Delicious romance in the midst of all that chaos. Phew! Be still my heart!
This is the third book in A Sunset Cove Novel series and some of the relationships carry over from the other books. In particular Kate and her sister's from The Inn at Ocean's Edge. I think it makes a better story if you've read that book first. You can still enjoy this one as a standalone, but some situations will be clearer if you've read Ocean's Edge.
