Linda5 Stars Out Of 5Wow, what a great book!September 11, 2016LindaQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I came to know the disciples more intimately. I felt like they represented all the differences we all have and it was neat to see who I felt I identified with. 12 Extraordinary Women was also a fantastic read , highly recommend both books.

I listened to Dr. MacArthur's radio series with the same title and I believe this is those sermons in book form. Although this book focuses on the disciples, I think it would be safe to say that all of the major characters in the Bible were ordinary men. This was certainly true of this ragtag group. Of course, the object of the book is to reveal what God can do not only with the disciples but with all of us ordinary men and women, too. Dr. MacArthur has done another outstanding job.
