BeckyB5 Stars Out Of 5Thank You Allie for tackling this deception head onFebruary 4, 2025BeckyBThis book is extremely compassionate, but it rightly submits us to biblical truth while sharing alarming facts about abortion, transgenderism, immigration, and social justice; This is a must read for any Christian who wants to show love and compassion to his or her neighbor in a way that is thoughtful and actually loving and not just allowing the progressivist narrative of the day to deceive their heart in a way that is ultimately destructive to all and dishonoring to God

Becky5 Stars Out Of 5Encouraging & EquippingOctober 15, 2024BeckyQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5**I received an advanced digital copy of this book to review as part of the Toxic Empathy launch team.**
This book was well-articulated, as well as a quick read and delivered everything that Allie Beth Stuckey promised in her podcast, Relatable. She addresses 5 lies that Christian women encounter in today's society that manipulate us into what she calls toxic empathy. Stuckey explains each lie and lays out the logical and Biblical arguments that we can use to defend our positions regarding abortion, gender ideology, marriage, illegal immigration, and social justice.
Much of what she wrote in the book are stories and arguments that I have heard as a long-time listener of her podcast, but I am happy to finally have all of that information at my fingertips through this book. -
Victoria Snead5 Stars Out Of 5A Breath of Sanity in a Changing WorldOctober 15, 2024Victoria SneadQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This is an easy read in wording only, like you are discussing current events with Allie over coffee. That does not mean, however, that the content in itself is "dumbed down" or poorly thought out. The detail on each topic is comprehensive and well laid out with a good blend of personal testimonies from others and direct facts. While she is firm on the severity of the consequences of falling prey to toxic empathy, she is also full of grace and compassion for the ones who may feel torn on these issues. A theme throughout the book is "truth in love" and I feel like she presents each thought in such a way that honors that goal. I am very excited for this book and so thankful for her work on it, as someone who once really wrestled with feeling crazy over what I felt was true conflicting with what "felt good".
