Award-winning childrens author Sally Lloyd-Jones penned the sweet rhyming text for eleven favorite Bible stories in Tiny Bears Bible, a board book with a cuddly, soft Teddy bear cover. The furry friend on the front had moveable ears. I especially like the six-line verse for Genesis 12, which concludes with, But the crown of creation, He saved for the end: He made Adam and Eve and became their best friend. This is great for young preschoolers, who will still love it when they can read it themselvesalthough it may be tattered and dirty by then.

Colorfully illustrated with kid-pleasing scenes, this book is a winner. However, the light color of the plush-covered back would easily soil, and I dont see how you could keep it cleanan unfortunate drawback to this charming book idea. It comes in a thick plastic case that snaps shut, but I doubt youngsters will want to store the book inside, and young children would probably have trouble getting it back inside by themselves.

I recommend this darling picture-poem book. It would make a great gift for a new baby or for a little ones birthday or Easter.

I have purchased several of these books over the years (some pink, some blue, as appropriate) for baby or baby shower gifts. They have always been well received.

Do you have a go to gift for baby showers? I do! It consists of a basket of needed items like diapers, wipes and lotion and then it always includes a book or two. Tiny Bear's Bible is a great one to include.

The book comes in a boy or girl bear cover so you can customize it for the new little arrival. This little book is one that I wish you could somehow magically reach through the computer screen and feel. The fur is so soft. I can't seem to quit rubbing it. The inside pages are of the board book format so little hands can easily grasp and turn pages without harm.

The eleven stories inside are told in a rhyming style that is classic Sally Lloyd-Jones. When you include the beautiful illustrations from Igor Oleynikov you have a book that is sure to delight not only the child but the adult reading it. This book is destined to be a well-loved item that will introduce your baby to the One that loves him or her the most.
