Vernon McGee's comments on the Scripture in our Sunday School lesson before I attempt to teach. Just this morning I read his Deuteronomy 27-30 explanations of Moses' final words to the nation of Israel regarding what he refers to as the "Palestinian Covenant" and the three prophecies of Israel's returns to their Promised Land. His language is easy to understand, and he seems to show me things I would never have seen on my own. I have owned a set of his commentary for about 15 years, and I have given away a set to a church planter in New Orleans. I plan to use my "Thru the Bible" commentaries for the rest of my life.
