I always find McGee's work to be relevant, easy to understand and enlightening interpretation of scripture. While I don't agree with him on all bases, his humility, humor and understanding of scripture make these books a wonderful reference and are also lovely to read. I recommend reading them wholeheartedly. As a quick note, this 5 volume series is the same content as the 60 volume series with thinner pages, larger pages and smaller print.

I use to work for a Christian retailer for several years and was acutely aware of J. Vernon McGee and his works, among a plethora of other writer's resources. In my decision to delve deeper into the Bible by way of commentary resource(s), I chose to lay out the equivalent commentary of the particular book of the Bible from the various authors I chose (McGee, MacArthur, Boice, Henry, Wiersbe, Phillips, among more!) and essentially narrowed my preferences down to two authors: J. Vernon McGee and Warren W. Wiersbe, who were the easiest to understand but still get a rich commentary.

Specifically, this product came as described in a 5-volume set (I also ordered the Index to complete the collection). I'm very satisfied and am sure this will come in handy as an invaluable resource in my library.

After listening to Thru The Bible on CSN for the last few years, I felt compelled to buy this set. Could not be more pleased. Now I am able to read along with Pastor McGee as he breaks down the Word as only he could. I heartily recommend this set. You will NOT be disappointed.

This is one of the greatest sources available for increasing knowledge of the Bible. I watch Through the Bible with Les Feldick everyday and I love how both men clear up Bible doctrines. The set arrived in perfect condition and I put the dust jackets in library quality clear covers. These books are a fantastic value and I highly recommend them!

I have enjoyed this set of books. I have been wanting to increase my library and this is a good start. I would recommend this set to anyone . As I have studied different books and the Bible there has been a few things that I disagree with Mr. McGee on, but you can read any commentary that anyone writes and its their view point. Other than that I have enjoyed this set a lot.
