Vernon McGee is a wonderful book that is easy to read and give a great many practical illustrations that will help the reader into deeper understand of God's word. What I like best about this is book is that when you read it, it is like hearing him preach a sermon.
Although many will undoubtedly find that his stories or style is out dated, one has to remember that God's truth is the same today as it was yesterday. This book or even the entire series would be a great addition to anyone' s library
Rick Squires4 Stars Out Of 5August 14, 2007Rick SquiresThis is a great little book for personal or group devotional reading. What you'll find here are basically sermons in written form. McGee is a practical communicator and his teachings will be of particular use for those who are just looking to get a little more out of James. It is not technical in nature, though McGee obviously knows the text quite well. A technical analysis is just not his aim here.
