When my parents were fighting the same lung cancer at the same time in 2009, my world suddenly turned upside down. I had reached a point where I did not care about anything. I believed the Lord had abandoned me in my darkness. I was ready to toss the towel in on everything and walk away. I had no idea how to regain my faith or if I wanted to find it. Through Tear-Filled Eyes is my story.

Tell us a little about yourself. I am a native Mississippian and I enjoy writing, graphic design and recently learned stained glass making.
What was your motivation behind this project? This project began as a healing process for me after my father's death from cancer & my mom's continued fight with the same cancer. It was a way for me to find answers.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? My hope is that people will see that no matter how dark or hopeless their situation may be the Lord has never left them.
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? It has helped me grow closer to the Lord and appreciate how much he loves me. I am learning to trust him with the outcome on life's situations that I have no control over.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? I always enjoyed books by Billy Graham and reading about other peoples life experiences. I enjoy good Christian fiction books.
