A complex murder mystery rounds out book three of the exciting Pelican Harbor series! Continuing on from book two, the main characters find themselves dead center in someone's vendetta, bringing the danger close to home. There are two murders to solve this time, plus a cold case.

"We have to trust God, even when it's hard."

Building onto the backstory from the previous books in the series, book 3 ties up loose ends of both Jane's and Reid's stories. Both have a need to forgive some huge wrongs done to them. They bring each other comfort as they turn to their faith for help. The author includes meaningful discussions about trusting God in the midst of difficult circumstances, dealing with doubts, and not losing hope. It was encouraging to read.

The romance takes it up a few notches in this book, but is appropriate given the situation. Emotional tension runs high as they are severely tested. I liked how the author brings healing into Jane's relationships as she wrestles with her past. The unique aspect of having lived in a cult plays a big part in her story still, coloring her present perspective. She had a lot to overcome.

Recommend this exciting series to fans of romantic suspense with faith. It is best enjoyed by reading the books in order.

Three Missing Days, by Colleen Cobble, is book three in The Pelican Harbor series. This series is a continuing story so it is best to read them in order. The author does a good job of giving some background information, but I did feel something was missing from the story since I hadn't read the first two books.

Fifteen years earlier Jane's and Reid's families were part of a cult compound when she had their son. Now the past is coming back and she is forced to remember three missing days from that time.

This is a great story, one that makes me want to go back and read the series in order. It is full of action and suspense yet it focuses on family and faith. One of the points in the story that stand out to me is when Jane is feeling down Reid tells her that everything in life fails, but God doesn't fail us. He tells her that we will see God's work in time. I especially enjoyed the family interactions, specifically when Jane's father talks with Reid about his feelings. This is so good.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This is the incredible ending to the Pelican Harbor Series. Definitely recommend books 1 and 2 be read before this one. While the reader is on the edge of their seat, hastily turning the pages, this book ties the extraordinary story all together. Colleen Coble, an award winning author, is a master storyteller and has such a way with words that makes it is nearly impossible to put one of her books down once you begin to read it.

Jane, the Chief of Police in Pelican Harbor gets pulled into a house fire because of the questionable death of the homeowner as well as the death of one of the firefighters. While involved in this investigation, another suspicious death occurs outside of the home of Reid, the father of her son, Will. This quickly becomes complicated and heartbreaking when 15 year old Will is arrested for murder. Jane suspects the two murders could be connected and the success of solving them lies in the memory of a three day trip she took with her Mother many years ago. Regrettably, she has absolutely no memory of those three days.

Both Jane and Reid were raised in a cult setting where they were married at a young age, although not legally. Will was raised by Reid, while Jane had been told the baby died. To complicate an unusual, heartbreaking situation, Reid and Will move to the town where Jane lives. Just when Jane and Reid are working at rebuilding a friendship and Jane is getting to know her son, the the issue of trust that she is a struggle for Jane, raises it's ugly head. Can and should Jane be trusting Reid?

This book has many unexpected twists and turns that will keep the pages turning. Colleen Coble once again has another 5 star series.

I really liked this book. I told my husband I needed to finish this book because I needed to solve the case. Thats how it felt that you were solving the case right along with Jane, Reid and Jane's staff. I really Liked Jane she was a fighter and she struggled but had no problem letting it out there and question her own faith. I liked how the author didn't make everything seem so "perfect" but showed that they struggled even in the good times. I also liked the author kept is cleaned and a good read for all. Overall this book is so worth the read! I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

I loved this last book in the Pelican Harbor series. It will be to your benefit to read books 1 and 2 before reading this book.

The story is fast-paced and never let's up. That's one thing I love about this author. I liked the fact that there were lots of characters and different investigations going on. I never felt lost as she gives such depth to each character and investigation. I like trying to figure out if the people and investigations are connected to each other in some way.

I also liked the faith element the author brought into the book. Jane and Reid really had human feelings on this subject. Even though we know we have to have faith, when it's a serious situation, we humans do have our doubts. It's not easy and the author brings that struggle to life.

The romance and characters were real and human. No plastic, beautiful long legged perfect women. Just real human characters. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.
