Publisher's Description

Ava Kingsley and Seth Walker might be the most unlikely friends ever. The only thing these two polar opposites have in common is a knack for wordsmithing. Back in college, they were known for their written sparring in the campus newspaper's popular "He Says/She Says" column.

At their ten-year college reunion, they pick up right where they left off. Except this time their squabbling leads to a surprising turn: friendship and a year-long exchange of emails. So when Ava approaches a crossroads in her athletics department career in Minnesota, Seth is quick to offer the open apartment above the restaurant he's been remodeling in Maple Valley, Iowa.

Ava doesn't know where her career will lead her next, but she's starting to suspect she might see Seth as more than a pen pal. Which would be exciting...except for the fact that he only sees her as a friend.

As Maple Valley grows on her, Ava wonders if there might be something here for her even though Seth is unavailable. And maybe, just maybe, after all the words the two of them have exchanged over the years, they'll finally be able to say the three that matter most.

Three Little Words is an e-only novella that gives an exciting introduction to Melissa Tagg's new series about the charismatic Walker family and the endearing town of Maple Valley!

After attending her college reunion, Ava Kingsley is reunited with her news column writing partner, Seth Walker. Although they rarely saw eye-to-eye on matters while in school, they begin a long-distance friendship through emails after reconnecting and quickly become best friends. Their friendship is so close that when Ava loses her job, Seth immediately offers the open apartment above his new restaurant as a place for Ava to regroup as she seeks new direction for her career. As they begin spending more time with each other, Avas feelings shift from friendship to something more but unfortunately for her, Seth is already in a serious relationship. Only when Seth is faced with losing Ava as she considers a job back in her hometown in another state does Seth come to realize that his affections for her may have shifted to something deeper as well.

Tagg transforms the intimacy of Ava and Seths friendship into a sweet romance! The easy going nature of their friendship naturally evolves into something deeper, and the way they reveal their feelings for each other was unexpected and adorable! Enjoyed this read and opening to a great series by Tagg!

Not a novella. It is a prequel. It was is a good start. No ending. I was very dissappointed.

I "purchase" a lot of the free eBooks that CBD offers because - well they are free. Last night I couldn't sleep and didn't feel like looking for a book so I downloaded this one. I enjoyed the characters - and find myself wanting to purchase the others in this series to learn more about them. Was it one of the best books I've read? No - but it was definitely a good book and enjoyable.

The story wasn't bad, but it wasn't riviting either. I got it for free so I read it, but if I had bought it I would have been disappointed.

Three Little Words proved to be the perfect bridge between Melissa Tagg's Where Love Begins series and the start of her much-anticipated new Walker Family series. As a BIG fan of books series which employ cross-over characters, this book was rife with both endings and beginnings. The dialogue was whip-smart, hilarious and adorable by turns, while the story line radiated a frighteningly strong amount of relate-ability, the dilemma of wanting the wrong dream for so long, and the advice on picking wisely what to hold on to and what to let go of really hitting home for me.

This short but awesome peek at life in quirky Maple Valley has me excited about what's the come, with the preview provided at the end from her first Walker Family book From the Start pure gold! And, while I greatly enjoyed journeying with Ava and Seth on their road from enemies, to friends, to romance, it was a potential side couple who really ended up piquing my interest, that of Reagan and Bear; I can't wait to see how their story plays out! Thank you Melissa Tagg, for once again crafting a hugely enjoyable tale...looking forward to reading what else you have in store!
