They're pretty straight forward, but this is a good product. The kids like them for counting. The container is sturdy enough to store them. They seem a little expensive, but I'm glad to have them for our home school, they just make the kids smile. I guess you could just use any random objects for counting practice, so I don't think they're really necessary if cost is an issue.
