I really enjoy the "Big Thoughts for Little Thinkers" series, because each book offers a simple, yet detailed introduction to core components of being a faithful Christian. "The Scripture" provides children with basic knowledge and understanding of God's word and the Bible. While the message is conveyed in simple, age-appropriate text, it is also very detailed, so it provides a nice foundation for younger children, so that they can learn about the Bible and scripture.

Wonderful little book for younger kids to learn about the Bible and importance of studying it. It is easy to read and understand. I like that the character in the book talks directly to the listener and reader making it more personal,

I don't normally buy Christian resources for my little ones because I would rather read to them straight from the Bible. I very rarely find children's resources that are biblically accurate. I don't know why I decided to give the Big Thoughts for Little Thinkers books a chance, but I am glad that I did. These books are outstanding for teaching basic Bible doctrines. My four year old has gained a great deal of understanding from these little books. Big Thoughts for Little Thinkers: The Scripture is my favorite of the four books. However, I highly recommend them all.

Big Thoughts for Little Thinkers: The Scripture by Joey Allen is a great little book that helps explain to children why God gave us the Scriptures and how we got them, and what they mean to us. Great pictures on each page; very simple to read, with Bible verses at the bottom for parents or older children.

The Scripture is a great explanation of the Bible. In this book, Gabe is our friendly face on each page guiding us through the complex study of bibliology! Inerrancy, inspiration of human authors, the basic purposes of the Old Testament and New Testament and how they point to Jesus, the assembling of the canon, the languages of the Bible, reliability of Scripture, and the Holy Spirit's use of Scripture to sanctify us - all of these topics are covered in kid-friendly language! I am amazed by this book!I love that these books have simple, colorful illustrations on each page that capture the essence of what is being talked about without trying to depict God in any way. Excellent. Each page also has Scripture references at the bottom that parents can use with their kids for further discussion and study!
