    Oh. My. Word. .....

Not even going to pretend I'm not going 'fan-girl-crazy' over this series because I totally am. The Tox Files Trilogy is officially now one of my all time favourite series. It is ridiculously clever, totally unpredictable, in the most awesome way possible, and the plots are just.... (warning: going 'fan-girl' again) mind boggling!

I just flipped the last page of Thirst of Steel today, and I'm still reeling. What an epic conclusion to a seriously amazing trilogy. Ronie Kendig completely outdid herself. Obviously, I 100% recommend this entire trilogy to anyone who wants an excellent adventure/suspense read. Honestly, there are few books that have held my attention as unrelentingly as this series. The wanna-be-author in me is still wracking my brain trying to figure out how on earth she came up with the brilliant ideas for this series. She is amazing. This series is amazing. (told you I was going fan-girl-crazy...)

As this is the third book in the series, I want to be careful with any plot summary comments as it would be an utter shame to give away anything. That being said, the series is centered around a highly trained, military tactical team who is tasked with retrieving and neutralizing international threats originating from dangerous artifacts. In addition to the American/Israeli based team dubbed 'Wraith', who is fighting to find these artifacts and set to right the 'curses' surrounding them, there is a wicked group called the Arrow & the Flame order determined to win these artifacts for themselves and complete their goal of world domination. In the case of this last book, the artifact in question is the sword that David used to behead the giant Goliath.

My review is not doing this book nor the series justice, but believe me when I say you seriously need to read these books. I guarantee you will be as riveted as I was because they are utterly amazing.

Thanks to Graf Martin Communications and Baker Publishing House for a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.

I have never read anything by Ronie. I have seen her books but never picked it up. But I thought, why not give it a try. I like action packed books and this sounded like that.

And it was. There was action left and right, page after page.

In all fairness I think because I jumped into this series I had no idea who anyone was or why I should care about them. There are so many characters I just couldn't keep them all straight.

So I think I would like this book if I had started from the beginning but because of jumping in where I did I easily could walk away from it and feel no attachment. I would say start with the beginning if this series.

A copy of this book was given to me through Netgalley.com. All opinions are my own.

At times I felt confused with some of the words, wish there had been a glossary in the book, it would have helped. The book was well written and it drew you in so you just kept reading. Had to know what was going to happen.

This is book three in the Tox Files series, (four, if you count the prequel). I would suggest reading them all, and in order, to understand everything that goes on in each book. Warrior's Seal, Conspiracy of Silence, Crown of Souls and then this one, Thirst of Steel. The entire series focus on a group of soldiers with their leader being "Tox" Cole Russell. Each character has their own personality type and really play a very important role in their missions. This series is not an easy read, you will need to focus on what is going on and will probably still get a bit lost, but it will all start making more sense eventually, and be an amazing adventure.

Ronnie Kendig always does such a great job at keeping the suspense, action and drama all at the forefront. I love books about our special forces, military, police force and such, and hers are some of my favorite.

    - I received a copy of this novel from the publisher. All opinions are my own.

Ronie Kendig wraps up her Tox Files series with a smash bang finish!

I was left with my jaw hanging open & my mind both numb and whirling with how everything tied together. I wanted to immediately reread the entire series!

I've always admired Ronie Kendig's superb grasp of military/black ops situations & vocabulary, while at the same time incorporating ancient events & characters that in some way impact the modern story. Her descriptions of combat scenes leave you breathless & her development of intriguing characters brings them to life in such a way that you love & grieve along with them.

Even as it feels sad to close the final book on Tox's story, I find comfort knowing that we have not seen the last of Ronie Kendig's books & hopefully not the last of Wraith!

I wholeheartedly recommend this series for anyone seeking adventure that keeps you on the edge of your seat (or reading at all stoplights!) without using the profanity or bedroom scenes that so often ruin action/adventure.
