Dr. Benjamin S. Carson, Sr., M.D., became the chief of pediatric neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital in 1984 at the age of 33, making him the youngest major division director in the hospital's history. He has written and published nine books, four of which were co-authored with Candy, his wife of 40 years. Dr. Carson was the recipient of the 2006 Spingarn Medal. In June 2008, he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom. U.S. News Media Group and Harvard's Center for Public Leadership recognized Dr. Carson as one of "America's Best Leaders" in 2008. In 2014, the Gallup Organization, in their annual survey, named Dr. Carson as one of the 10 Most Admired Men in the World.
Dr. Carson and his wife are co-founders of the Carson Scholars Fund, which recognizes young people of all backgrounds for exceptional academic and humanitarian accomplishments. In addition, Dr. Carson is now the Honorary National Chairman of the My Faith Votes campaign and continues to work tirelessly for the cause of the American people.Cecil Murphey, author of 112 books, has also assisted well-known personalities in writing their biographies.

But I kept at it til I finished reading THINK BIG by Ben Carson. I bought this paper back book - (with very small print) at a restaurant in Mount Joy, PA selling CHOICE BOOKS. I am so thankful I got the book. It challenges me to do the best I can in whatever I am trying to do. It explains that making excuses for poor behavior is just that,EXCUSES, not reasons. My youngest daughter is a nurse - so I plan to mail this book to her - she will enjoy all that he shares about his medical experience. And she shares the same Christian faith that I do - and that Ben Carson does ( not denomination - but the Christian faith) so she will enjoy what he has to say about prayer. Of course Dr. Carson is now running for President. I sent him a small donation and he sent me 5 magnets with Run Ben Run printed on them. One is on the refrigerator door - the others are on each side of our van - except I gave one of them away this week to a man who stopped me at the Post Office and asked "How do you get a magnet ?" He told me that Dr. Carson had performed surgery on his wife - and that Ben Carson is one of the nicest persons he knows. Another time I stopped at a fast-food restaurant and a man asked about getting a magnet. I regretted that I hadn't given him one of mine - so when this man asked , this week, I was ready to give him one. I don't know if Ben Carson will become President of the United States - sometimes I think that he is just too good to be our President - even though at one time we were a Christian nation - now I think a 'Corrupt Nation' would better describe us. But Dr. Carson will get my vote in the primary for sure. And I am praying that God will have mercy on the United States of America and help us to turn back to HIM. I know this is how Ben Carson is praying, for sure. Thanks you for publishing such a good book.

Ben Carson has the keys to success and wants to share them with anyone that reads his book. He and his mother had very tough lives and through his mother's faith in God and her persistent positive messages to her children, they both became wonderful human beings. "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade." I highly recommend this book for all readers that want to have great relationships and personal success. Ben is a very humble man and treats everyone with respect and honesty. He would make a great President for the USA.
