Jamie MGender: Male5 Stars Out Of 5A Must-Read for Every Believer!May 15, 2012Jamie MGender: MaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5The inspirational stories of John & Elizabeth Sherrill have been a staple of Guideposts Magazine for the past 60-plus years. As founders of Chosen Books, the Sherrills were the first to publish Charles Colson's seminal work, Born Again. They have personally authored more than two dozen books, 3 of which appear in Christianity Today's Top 50 Books That Have Shaped Evangelicals: God's Smuggler (Brother Andrew), The Cross & The Switchblade (David Wilkerson), and The Hiding Place (Corrie Ten Boom). The book, They Speak With Other Tongues, is no exception. The authors approach the subject with all the intellectual rigor of seasoned journalists, but in the end it is the heartfelt warmth, honesty and abiding sense of hope that encourages the reader to keep reading, as the Sherrills recount their journey from skepticism to fully embracing the work of the Holy Spirit in their lives. A must-read for every believer!

Paige Dopson5 Stars Out Of 5September 5, 2010Paige DopsonAs a United Methodist venturing to study and understand the gift of Tongues this book has been extreamly helpful. Getting to hear how this gift manifestes itself individualy and does not require fitting. into yet another predetermined mold, has allowed me to believe and pray for this gift of the Spirit believing that it will fit. Thank you for your honesty and insight. In Christ
Tim D Goodman5 Stars Out Of 5January 24, 2008Tim D GoodmanGreat book on the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, the manifestation of the Holy Spirit, and speaking in tongues. Sherrill has done a lot of research and study of history to produce this account. I would recommend this book to anyone who has questions about this controvercial subject. Well written, easy and entertaining to read, yet very factual and academic. I especially like the historical elements Mr. Sherrill brings forth to show the continuing presence of the Holy Spirit since the first outpouring on the day of Pentecost until today.. Great book!!
