Abigail Bontrager has always felt a little out of place. Having grown up Amish, she's always felt that there are things she should be better at, such as making a great pie crust. However, that does not have any affect on her faith, her love of family, or her blossoming relationship with Owen Kurtz. Owen also has a strong faith and love of family. As his relationship with Abigail continues to blossom and as he looks toward a future with her, Owen works toward beginning a business of growing sunflowers. All seems to be going in the right direction until an outsider claiming to be Abigail's birth mother completely shatters everything.

First of all, I have to say props to Ms. Irvin for how well she dealt with this sensitive topic. I can only imagine what it would be like to find out that your parents are not your biological parents. It brings in a slew of questions, a whole new family to get to know, and in this case, an entirely different culture, faith and way of life. That had to be very difficult, not just for Abigail, but also for her family and Owen. However, Ms. Irvin flawlessly handled the topic.

Abigail's walk in the English world had some happy moments, but also challenging and sad moments. While she tried new things in her new environment, she would ask herself so many questions about everything. Heather, her bio mom, and Eric, her bio dad, sometimes said things that were encouraging to her, but other times, they came across as not wanting her to continue to follow her faith. This made Abigail feel even more like a square peg trying to fit into a round hole. Such a difficult walk for Abigail and for Owen as he waited for Abigail's return.

I can say so much more about this wonderful story, but the only real way to appreciate Abigail and Owen's story is to read it for yourself. Just be prepared for the emotional rollercoaster and enjoy the ride.

This is the second in the Amish Blessing series, but can be read as a stand alone book.

Stunning life changes abruptly come into the life of Abigail Bontrager making her question everything about her life and upbringing. How will this affect her upbringing as an Amish woman, her wants and desires? Will she give up everything she knows in her life to accept a surprising change? What about her special friend Owen? How will he react and accept her now?

This was a very good book that I could not put down until I read how all these issues would be resolved. I highly recommend this book to lovers of Amish romance.

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley and Zondervan. The opinions expressed are my own.

Abigail Bontrager is a twenty year old Amish lady who lives with her Amish parents Freeman and Lorene and her brothers and Sisters. She is a rather clumsy girl who in the past has spilled hot coffee and soft drinks on her customers at the restaurant where she works in Haven Kansas. She is not much of a cook and she can not sew and truthfully she would rather hunt or fish than do housework. Abigail lives a happy normal life with her parents siblings and her dog Dolittle. Lately after Sunday night singings Owen Kurtz has been driving her home in is courting buggy. The two have known each other for years but now they have become smitten with each other and Owen thinks she mught be the one he wants to spend the rest of his life with. But then one day without warning in the blink of an eye everything changed for Abigail and her life was never to be the same again. She felt uncertain about her life and she needed to get away to find out who she really was. Would a time out help Abigail figure out how she wanted to live the rest of her life? Would Owen be willing to wait for her to sort out her life or would he move on with his life?

I loved this wonderful heart warming Amish Romance. I enjoyed the Authors writing style and I was completely drawn into the story from the first chapter. I found the characters to be engaging and they made the book seem realistic. I thought the story was entertaining romantic and had a great ending. I will be sure to read more of this authors stories in the future.

I recommend this book to readers who enjoy Amish Fiction and to fans of Kelly Irvin. The book can be read as a stand alone. It is scheduled to be released on July Fifth of this year.

I always love Kelly Irvin's Amish novels, and this one is no exception. I loved Abigail's story. Her angst and confusion come through in the story, as does her identity crisis. And as always, there is a satisfying conclusion. Well-written. Well edited. Inspiring. Excellent.

**I received this book from the author/publisher for the purpose of review. The above opinion is my own.

First let me say that this is the second book in a series, but it is great as a stand alone. So...don't pass this book if you haven't read the first in the series.

Abigail Bontrager is Amish. She loves everything about being Amish, but...she is clumsy. At twenty years old, she can't cook worth a flip. Can't every Amish female do these things, and do them very well? Then, there's her 'friend,' Owen. Things seem to be heading in the direction of 'forever after,' but she just wouldn't be your typical Amish wife. Will this cause problems between her and Owen?

Then, suddenly, one day her entire life changes. Everything she grew up believing now seems foggy and untrue. A woman shows up at Abigail's parents house claiming her be her birth mother. What?! Have Abigail's hard working and honest parents lied to her her entire life?

After much persuasion from her birth mother, Abigail decides she needs to go see the Englisch life she could have grown up in and meet her half siblings. Owen is kind, understanding and encouraging in her quest. He feels she would only resent him in time if he tried to hold her back.

Abigail has many experiences in the Englisch world, and doesn't return home at the time she had told her family she would. She ends up facing the possibility of a shunning. Abigail has strong values, and values her Amish upbringing. Which world will she choose? I'm not going to spoil it for you. You've just got to read this book for yourself! You won't regret it

I was given an advanced ecopy by the publisher, Zondervan through Netgalley. I was under no obligation to leave a positive review.
