CLA5 Stars Out Of 5Actually read it before writing a review...The Voice is wonderful!August 18, 2014CLAQuality: 5Value: 4Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for Voice Full Bible, Leathersoft, saddle brown.I find it so sad that some people have reviewed this translation with a pious, elitist attitude BEFORE THEY ACTUALLY READ IT (or at least spend significant time with it, instead of just reading the "sample pages"). It breaks my heard that these are probably those who also claim that there is no real translation except for the difficult to read KJV...and thus create a divisive faction in Christ-followers. Honestly, this translation is wonderful for reading...which I have used daily for months. I love reading daily from The Voice...I actually hear the voice of God and see His greatness and holiness like in no other translation. Yes, it is a little unconventional, and I don't use this version for deep "study" of the word of God. On the other hand, it sings off the page! I am not saying that it is the greatest thing since sliced bread, but I encourage EVERYONE to just give it a try...a REAL TRY in DAILY time with the Lord. The Voice may not be perfect, but I believe God's word transforms lives and this translation makes it easily digestible. .

FlyerArizonaAge: Over 65Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5Best Bible Translation EVERApril 28, 2012FlyerArizonaAge: Over 65Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for The Voice Complete Bible, Special Edition, Hand-crafted Genuine leather, multicolor.I am a retired Pastor, and for many years the President of a Theological Seminary. I have had a Voice Bible for several weeks now, and have been reading and studying this new translation. This translation is the best I have ever read! It is very easy reading in modern language, and the frequent short paragraph explanations describing the contextual historical settings are quite profound and really help in understanding what is taking place in the text. I have a copy of, and have read, almost every Bible translation and/or paraphrase on the market today, and I find THE VOICE the very best I have read. There is a spiritual sense to the translation in that it tends to 'draw one in' to the context of what is being written; a true anointing on the translation. I find it hard to put down. The print is a bit small for my 72 year old eyes, but still very readable. I can't recommend it enough.

pamiekansasAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5The VOICE BIBLEDecember 6, 2016pamiekansasAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Love it. i bought the hardback. Love the way it is written like a script, so you know exactly who is speaking. Would be great for upper elementary and up, as it is easy to comprehend. Easy to read sized text, yet not thick and over-sized. It has a ribbon marker which most hardbacks don't have. At the beginning of each chapter is a chapter introduction and built in Bible Studies throughout the text. At the end of this book there are multiple pages such as Daily Readings broken into weekly readings and several wonderful Bible Help pages like Topical Guide notes and guide. Everything you need at your finger-tips. It made it to my desk with my best-liked Bibles. It fits into my Bible bag and is light weight without compromising any of the content. Highly recommend.

RevCanuckUpstate New YorkAge: 25-34Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5A Solid Translation!May 20, 2013RevCanuckUpstate New YorkAge: 25-34Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I am a pastor. As such, I have spent more than my fair share of time reading and studying different translations. Each have their strengths and weaknesses. The Voice Bible is no different. Rather than rely on traditional interpretations of Hebrew or Greek words, it attempts to bring essence of the original to today's language (eg :the use of "Voice" as a translation of the Greek logos instead of "Word").
Interestingly enough, many have derided the translation for not using "Jesus Christ", "apostles" or other traditional words. While you could consider it a "misrepresentation", is it really? The very term "Jesus Christ" was a translation of Jesus true name "Yeshua the Messiah". How is referring to Him as "Jesus the Anointed One" any different? It is refreshing to me to see a translation attempt to remain true to the source material and not be too concerned about conforming to tradition just because it's tradition. That's not to say that I don't use the term "Jesus Christ", but it is simply a name we ascribe to Him. So long as we do so with reverance and worship, I don't think He splits hairs (especially where Jesus is technically NOT his name!).
In the end, I really appreciated The Voice Bible and recommend it, especially if you are a new Christian or are looking for a refreshingly different approach to Bible translation! -
BearCatCalgary, AlbertaAge: 55-65Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5FANTASTIC!October 24, 2012BearCatCalgary, AlbertaAge: 55-65Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for The Voice Complete Bible, Special Edition, Hand-crafted Genuine leather, multicolor. When I read how they were making these covers, I loved the idea. Where I worked - at The Mustard Seed Street Ministeries - they had a program where using donated leather, people trying to get going again, made leather journals for sale as a source of income. I have two of these bibles, one for myself and one as a gift to my pastor and I was really impressed not to mention humbled at the quality. These covers were made with love, care and creativity. Side by side you can see they are unique, each one an expression of the designers love for the Lord and His Word. That's just the cover! The translation is also really good. It is so clear to understand, but just as important is the fact that once you start reading, you become so wrapped up in the book that you can't put it down! Before you know it you've read 4 or 5 chapters and you don't want to stop! This is not a paraphrase, it's an approved translation done by over 100 scholars, pastors etc. Anyone who has lead Bible Studies and had to answer questions from new believers will love this translation as it explains things so well.
