BILL MARTIN JR (1916-2004) is known worldwide for his classic picture books, including Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? and Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear?, both illustrated by Eric Carle, and Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, illustrated by Lois Ehlert.

GREG SHED has illustrated numerous well-received books, including Dandelions by Eve Bunting and Harvest Home by Jane Yolen. He lives in San Diego, California.
