Michael was raped as a teen and hid his subsequent male attraction and affairs during his marriage to Sally. Finally the truth emerged. Instead of 'setting them free' they rejected the truth by deciding that earthly personal pleasure was more desirable than faithfulness to God, that homosexuality was not a sin; so they divorced and moved on to other partners. No 'plucking out' of an offensive eye for them. (Ref. Matt. 5:29)

Has the potential to destroy one's faith, of being a stumbling block for many. You can always give a sympathetic spin to sinful choices and justify them to yourself.
