Andy5 Stars Out Of 5Truth Proj.May 30, 2019AndyQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This course is OUTSTANDING! I can't recommend it too highly. Church congregational leaders should definitely do this course, and Pastors should consider requiring it for all their members.
Dan5 Stars Out Of 5The Truth ProjectApril 6, 2016DanQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Outstanding, "You can't handle the truth". I watch this series every year (it has been 4 years) and I can't get enough. It sets my spirit on fire for God. It reminds me where God belongs in my life and why. Knowing the truth gives me peace and the confidence to know right from wrong. This curriculum stirs in me a passion for the truth and an even stronger love for God.
You will jump start your Spirit by understanding the TRUTH. God will amaze you over and over.
It is not easy but get ready to become deprogram. Study it, live it.
Len4 Stars Out Of 5The Truth Project Small Group CurriculumMarch 3, 2016LenQuality: 3Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5The most in depth, well-presented biblical study on God's truth I have ever seen. Watched 4 times and currently facilitating for small group of spiritually mature members - they love it! This is truly meat and way beyond any studies I have participated in to date. You cannot get it all in one viewing - it's like reading God's Word, it must be read over and over - the Truth Project is like that. BUT, the dvds are NOT high def as advertised and they need to be - the resolution is fair at best and certainly detracts from overall enjoyment of the presentation, and reason for the 3-star quality rating.
catwoman1 Stars Out Of 5Not for teensJanuary 30, 2016catwomanQuality: 4Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1I bought this because so many people spoke so highly of it. My grandchildren are in middle school and have friends who are atheists. I wanted to use it as a family small group study and possibly have them invite their teen friends. We watched the first session and I don't think we will watch any more. It was so long (59 minutes) and so dry that even the adults got restless. Good content that could have been adequately covered in 30 minutes. And the study guide was only fill in the blank questions with quotes from their speakers. No open ended discussion questions at all. I wasted $100 on this.
Best Small Group Study (By Far)5 Stars Out Of 5The Truth ProjectJanuary 21, 2016Best Small Group Study (By Far)Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5My wife and I have been involved in a variety of small group bible studies over the years, and have used a wide variety of resources to gain knowledge and to facilitate discussion. There's no question that the Truth Project is far and away the best bible study discussion platform that we've ever used. We're now on our third time through the Truth Project over the past 8 years or so. The way that we've used the set is that we watch about 30 minutes of a DVD, then spend about 15 to 20 minutes on discussion. Doing it this way, the series lasts for about half a year -- So there's a lot of great content and great discussion.
The content is extremely solid, styled as a college lecture format. The presenter, Del Tackett, is extremely knowledgeable and personable, and he expresses the concepts in a clear and logical way. The sessions are very informative, interesting and engaging. The core message strongly supports the fact that what we've always believed as Christians is founded on Truth, while what most of the world believes is founded on questionable assumptions at best.
Topics that are covered range from the foundations of truth, to "who is man", to institutions of family, education, society, the government and much more. I really can't emphasize enough how excellent this series is -- Well worth the investment for any small group who's looking for solid and engaging content and a platform for great discussion.
