Mike Coburn5 Stars Out Of 5This is an excellent general overview of the TorahNovember 18, 2010Mike CoburnQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I highly recommend this book to any biblical student. This book provides an unparalleled look at the macro-structure of the Pentateuch as both individual books and as a canonically connected whole. I never saw so many important connections! The emphasis on the understanding of the original audience and the highlighting of difficult passages was also very helpful. I had the privilege of studying under the author of this book and can all the more highly recommend this book because of his personal character.

Ieshaa Adams5 Stars Out Of 5November 6, 2008Ieshaa AdamsI love this book; very practical and a child would be able to understand it's teachings. Schnittjer really made this a practical reading so that we'll understand where we came from, where we are and why we practice and believe what we do. Thanks so much.
Scott Shields5 Stars Out Of 5November 30, 2007Scott ShieldsA really nice book full of charts and a beautiful layout. This is a great beginners book on the introdution to the Torah. It is written in fluid language that is not to technical yet remains a deep study into the Torah. Full of reasearch material and questions this book in my opinion is worth picking up. It has helped me understand some of the difficulties I have had in understanding the Torah
