LisaK5 Stars Out Of 5Unique Storyline that is So EnjoyableFebruary 1, 2025LisaKQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I'm not sure I've ever read a story like this before, which made for a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The story grabbed me from the start. Maggie and Josh are sympathetic characters that I cared about and wanted to see get a happy ending. I liked the secondary characters and adored Maggie's little girl, Zoey. Hunter does a fabulous job with the mystery. I was certain I knew how it was all going to turn out, but I got a surprise. A pleasant surprise and that's all I'm saying. The Summer of You and Me is a standalone novel that will leave you with all the right feels. The writing is excellent and the story so very clever.

Jocelyn5 Stars Out Of 5Unexpected mysteryDecember 3, 2024JocelynQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Denise Hunter has written another delightful story. Seabrook Island, South Carolina is the setting of a mystery that leaves everyone pondering.
Josh and Maggie are best friends. Maggie thinks she has seen her deceased husband at the carnival, and is determined to find him. Josh offers to help with a stranger than life outcome. It turns out to be quite the adventure.
Without giving away the story, the complicated romance that develops concludes with a surprise ending. Denise Hunter is a master storyteller. Writing well rounded characters, she is able to convey her characters deep feelings and emotions. Publication is in April so you need to put this on your TBR list.

I have always enjoyed Hunter's works, but this one shined. Masterful plot twists, an unexpected ending, dealing with grief and forgiveness, and looking toward a hopeful, joyful future. So much packed into this novel.

MaureenTSyracuse NYGender: female5 Stars Out Of 5FamilyFebruary 22, 2025MaureenTSyracuse NYGender: femaleThis review was written for The Summer of You and Me - eBook. This was such a beautiful read to get lost in, a page tuner, and a story that will pull on your emotions!
A story of rebirth, but the journey there is full of questions and a mystery!
With her in-laws on a life time adventure, Maggy and her four year old daughter are enjoying their beach house in Seabrook, and spending time with her sister-in-law and family, and brother-in-law. I loved how Zoey's uncle was so good to her and "cupcake" felt loved!
There are questions that arise after a visit to the local amusement park, with a picture on her phone, who is this person?
Never would have guessed whom the mystery person was! Wow, what a story, and what a pleasure to be absorbed into this read and guess for answers.
This story has a lot of family dynamics, some very sweet romance, and some darling and precocious children. I loved that there was an epilogue!
I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Thomas Nelson, and was not required to give a positive review.
