Treasure Tunes1 Stars Out Of 5NOT the Story of JesusOctober 4, 2014Treasure TunesOH NO! This little book, though it looks nice enough, does not tell the story of Jesus at all! It takes away the Virgin birth on the first page, claiming "Mary and Joseph were his parents." Then it has some weird focus on what kind of house he lived in where. It finishes out by ignoring the Resurrection. "After Jesus' death, his followers took his teachings around the world." NO. NO. NO. Do not read this book to your babies --or at all. It is fatally flawed! I have to give it one star for the artwork, but NOT for the telling of the story.

I ended up buying 2 so I could have one at our house and I am happy with my purchase. The story of Jesus is told well and age appropriate for a preschooler. I REALLY like the illustrations, which are very nice and don't look as cartoonish as a lot of books. You can't go wrong with Golden Books. I think she is really going to enjoy this book and so will those who are reading it to her. :)
