5 Stars Out Of 5
Best book I've read on the topic.

I used to refer to Spurgeon as "my pastor" because I have read so much of his material. I like his sermons and most of his books are very good. This one is my favorite. This book is like having Spurgeon as a mentor. Because it is compiled of sermons/lectures, it's like CH Spurgeon is sitting in a chair next to you sharing his wonderful insight into soul winning. This book is very practical and he outlines the do's and do not's of ministry. He also spends much time reminding us of two important truths--1.) God must be involved in it, or our labor is in vain, and 2.) New "converts" must first be "tested" (or proven) as truly converted to Christ. He gives many practical examples and personal experiences as to why this is so important. I plan to buy this book in bulk to give to young ministers. This book has been very encouraging to me.
