Mack Philips took his children on a camping trip. The boys wanted to squeeze one last canoe ride in before the trip home. Mack rushes to help, when their canoe capsizes. That's when the unspeakable happened! Mack's youngest daughter was abducted by a child predator. After a massive search, evidence of Missy showed up at an abandoned cabin. Although they never found her body, everyone knew the worst had happened. For the next four years "a great sadness" fell over Mack and his family, until a note from God showed up in his mailbox. What happens next will move you to a greater understanding of God's unfailing love for us all.

Sonar1 Stars Out Of 5This book is deceitful.February 22, 2017SonarQuality: 1Value: 1Meets Expectations: 1A good Christian friend of mine studied this book/movie closely, and told me what he found disturbing.
Papa, a woman who is god in the book is based on a Hawian goddess(mother nature) and the name given to the Holy Spirit in the book can be traced to a sacred Hindu river where people would pass on to the next life.
Jesus in the book/movie tells the main charcter, Mac, that he never meant anyone to follow his life's example.
On top of all this Papa tells Mac that she exepts everyone no-matter what they believe, the Bible is not needed.
This best seller sounds great, but hidden in it are very dangerous ideas. Mathew 24:26 says when false prophets come they will say"look He (Jesus) is in the inner rooms", which could also be said as "He is in the shack." This book is deceitful.
