NC Wife & Mom5 Stars Out Of 5The ShackFebruary 27, 2015NC Wife & MomThis review was written for The Shack.LOVED this book! The book has some interesting components to it in regard to how the author portrayes God at times. Some could make these portrayals controversial though I care not to and enjoyed the book as a written art form. The book was written with much thought and will make the reader think as well. I had my 14 year old daughter read it. Though she was alittle resistant to read something her mom suggested to her, it turns out that The Shack is now one of her favorite books! I did not order the Study Guide to the book though I wish I had so my daughter and I could've discussed it in detail. A GREAT book for an adult or teen book club or church group --much opportunity for group discussion/literary analysis. This book will make you laugh and cry. Allows you an opportunity to virtually visit with God and I found myself never wanting to end that visit. Really needs a sequel. Very powerful.

JewelUSAAge: 45-54Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Very uplifting!July 17, 2012JewelUSAAge: 45-54Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for The Shack.Though this book is purely fiction I found it to be very uplifting and glorifying to the Lord. It takes God out of the box we so often try to put Him in. Obviously, the Bible is still the best resource for learning about our Mighty Savior but I found this book to be wonderfully inspirational-bear in mind of course that the subject matter is very heavy, but sadly, that's life.

Llnda5 Stars Out Of 5Read at least two timesSeptember 30, 2017LlndaQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for The Shack. An excellent book that needs at least two readings. You read the first time to see what happens and the second time to get the full meaning of the lessons. Good reading even if you don't want to have to think things through.

Chris5 Stars Out Of 5Amazing!June 28, 2017ChrisQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for The Shack.I had heard about this book shortly after it came out in bookstores, but I never bought it until recently. What an amazing and unique perspective of Faith in God, learning to forgive, and opening your mind to a different perspective of what God may look like. I highly recommend this book for anyone who may be dealing with a difficult situation of trying to forgive. I will be keeping this on my reading list for years to come.
