"The Search for the Real Mt. Sinai" is both Amazing and Provocative!!!

Although this same subject was covered in a later version DVD called "Mountain of Fire", this DVD well summarizes the findings of Bob Cornuke and Larry Williams from their trip to Jabal al Lawz in Saudi Arabia. The connections that were explored linking the site to the Biblical narrative regarding Mount Sinai given in Exodus are astounding! I had the pleasure of working with Bob Cornuke many years later on the rock analysis of a sample taken from this Mountain and am convinced both of his integrity and the veracity of their story, particularly after the results came in! And while there seems to still remain one loud mouth "biblical researcher" without a doctorate and apparently without a good alternative site, who constantly works to discredit the find, this individual's counter claim seems to break down into a tantrum of a person desperately clinging to the unlikely traditional site in the Sinai Peninsula - and without even one field trip to Saudi for on site investigation! Oh the things which are done in armchairs by so-called "experts"! This video outlines the basic case for Jabal al Lawz and is well worth the money.

I rarely give 5 stars to anything so don't think it wasn't good- things just have to be super stellar to get the 5.

That said, this was a really good documentary and gave conclusive evidence that this is, in fact, the real Mt Sinai. We watched this as a family and found it to be extremely interesting, holding the attention of my 13 and 15 yr old daughters the entire time. I recommend this completely as an informative tool for yourself, or as stepping stone to share biblical accuracy with non-believers.

    Simply put- GET IT!!

I own this earlier version and the updated "Mt. Sinai - Mountain of Fire" version. While this DVD is quite good the updated version contains two seperate accounts with many more photos of the actual location and here at ChristianBook it is also less expensive. I have bought numerous copies of the updated version to hand out as witnessing tools since once again another archeological find shows the Bible to be accurate. As an former military officer I have heard accounts from fellow serviceman that this Mt. Sinai location is both feared and guarded by the Saudi military because they know it for what it is, the mountain of God. This is a good DVD but the updated Mountain of Fire version is even better.

I was disappointed in this DVD. I thought I was getting a much more powerful dvd which featured both the Cornuke/Williams findings and that of a family whose name I can't recall. That family visited the site several times with startling findings. I really wanted to see part about the "foot prints" left by the Isrealites.
