Having been told that his own wife was an informer who delivered an aristocrat into the hands of the Committee, the Scarlet Pimpernel must keep his identity and work a secret while he struggles against the love he feels for her. One of the most amazing love stories ever. I first read this book when I was 9 or 10 and loved it then. Having it read while I crochet or perform some other task is just plain wonderful. The reader has the British accent that lends credence to the many characters in the book. A love story of historic fame, with no profanity or unwanted innuendos that a Christian can truly enjoy. I listen to it whenever I just need a break from a harried day. Get it. It's beautifully written and you will love it and the surprise ending.
