MartAge: 18-24Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5The Rivers of JudahMarch 17, 2015MartAge: 18-24Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5An excellent book. The author gives a good example of really living for the Lord and not just saying your a Christian. I would recommend this book for Christians only. Its portrays an accurate picture of how church leadership struggles to get along. An unfortunate but sad issue that is going on in churches today. The only draw back to Catherine Farnes writing is she claims that the teens are not dating. Yet they spend all their time together and some of it alone and unsupervised. It would be better if she would just say that they are dating. Despite that drawback I really do enjoy her writing.
avid reader5 Stars Out Of 5June 4, 2009avid readerExcellent, excellent story! This is a beautiful story of friendship, forgiveness, and love. But also about pride. Selfish ambition. Shameless unrelenting teasing. Guilt. Blaming.Young Judah gets blamed for the result of his friend's poor choice. The blame follows him and his family from Alaska to Montana to well, wherever it is they ended up. I don't recall anything in the reviews to help me to determine if this was a book that I would want to read and I'm not going to add to that either. It's a one day read.
Emmalee5 Stars Out Of 5May 20, 2009EmmaleeI absolutely loved this book, I couldn't put it down! I am 15 years old and I think this book has a lot of different issues that Christian teens could relate to, and learn from. Absolutely incredible.
Katie5 Stars Out Of 5July 8, 2002KatieIf I could give this book more than a 5 I would, I've read a LOT of books and in my opinion 'The Rivers of Judah' is one of the best (if not THE best)I've ever read. I Love it and would recommend it to ANYONE that likes a good book.
