Keren5 Stars Out Of 5Faith and HopeJuly 3, 2021KerenQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5As always I enjoy reading Amish stories, and Mrs. Wanda doesn't disappoint.
In this second book of the Big Valley, we are introduced to three stories. One is Wilma's Wish. Where Wilma is all of a sudden presented to 5 full of energy boys that are the nephews of her sweetheart. But when things start going down, she decides to break her courtship with Israel. With her heart broken and still full of love for him, she tries to still help out only to find that with patience, love and a little of imagination her wish of being Israel fra will come true. It shows us to always pray and never lose hope in the one you love.
In the second story, we are introduced to Martha's. She reminds me so much in a way of my sister when younger. Martha is out spoken, my sister quiet, but like a tomboy, like Martha. But Martha always unsure if she will meet someone like her or that likes how she is, keeps hoping in her heart to find that someone although she sets to be alone. But when a Amish boy enthusiastic about adventure meets her, they click. She keeps telling everyone they are friends, but her heart grows for him. But when an unexpected event happens Glen finds out that he is better to stay in a slow pace and join the church, something that brings hope for Martha and her miracle of someone like her to be her husband can come to a reality.
The third story, Alma's Acceptance, shows us that sometimes what we think is best for us is truly not so. When she goes back to the Big Valley after her husband's passing, Alma struggles to feel better and leave her sadness behind. While keeping busy and cleaning everything insight. But when she sees her childhood friend again, both of them become attached again. And their hidden feelings for each other spark once again. But with the recent passing of her husband, everyone questions her. Eli, wants to be there for her, her friend and future husband. But when Alma finds out something, she pushes Eli away and feelings that that is best. And that Eli would just accept her because of being a good friend. But is when Eli speaks his heart to her that she realizes, that sometimes what we think is best for everyone, is sometimes not the best thing at all.
I loved these three stories. They each had a message that tugged to me.
