Far from being an engaging fable, the account of Job in the bible is one of the most historically and scientifically accurate records of the ancient world.
Perhaps the oldest book in the Bible, the book of Job touches on many subjects of science and history. This commentary on the controversial Book of Job is very different from most of the seminary and church teachings so prevalent today, for it attests to the historicity of a man named Job who understood at the end of his life that God cannot be ?figured out,? but He can most certainly be trusted.
A prolific and influential scholar known to believers and skeptics alike as "the father of modern creation science," Dr. Henry M. Morris truly was a man of science and a staunch man of God. He was even said to have set the terms of debate about evolution for the second half of the 20th century by one Pulitzer Prize-winning academician. Dr. Morris began his serious study of the Bible in the 1930s and authoring books in the 1940s, but it was his landmark work, co-authored with Dr. John Whitcomb, titled The Genesis Flood in 1961 that influenced generations to begin discovering the fallacies of evolution and the biblical truth of creation.
With over 60 books, founding and leading the Institute for Creation Research (ICR), Dr. Morris death in 2006 was a profound loss to millions.
Dr. Morris created a thriving legacy that continues to equip many Christians to be able to defend the accuracy and authority of Scripture today. The new Henry Morris Study Bible and other resources that he developed remain essential sources of knowledge and understanding for believers.

Bob Alkire5 Stars Out Of 5January 28, 2009Bob AlkireA great book on Job. Dr. Morris points out, that God has more to say about creation than suffering in this great book.I enjoyed this book much and it cause me to look at Job as I never have in the past.
Jackie Holcomb3 Stars Out Of 5March 17, 2008Jackie HolcombI would have liked this book better if the author had quoted from a more up-to-date version of the Bible. Even the NEW King James Version would have been better. The 1611 version interfered with my enjoyment of the book. If this book is ever revised, I would suggest taking out all those thees and thous and hasts, giveths, etc...put it in a language we actually speak! Other than that I like the approach to the book of Job.
Chuck Cody5 Stars Out Of 5February 1, 2008Chuck CodyPut everything you thought about Job on hold. Dr. Morris has written a book that is challenging, clear, and utterly fantastic in its exploration of every aspect of the oldest written record we have of God's word! Amazing!
