Now completely revised and enlarged, using quotations from the New International Version -- John F. Walvoord's classic work on the Rapture! The Rapture Question examines the four views of the church's role in the tribulation: Partial Rapturism, Pretribulationism, Midtribulationism, and Posttribulationism, with the revised edition particularly discussing the current debate between pretribulationism and posttribulationism. In updating his work, the author also added treatments on the Rapture in the Gospels, in 1 Thessalonians 4, in 1 Thessalonians 5, in 2 Thessalonians, in 1 Corinthians, and in Revelation. A bibliography of current literature plus general and Scripture indexes are included.

Pastor Larry5 Stars Out Of 5One of the best!October 16, 2017Pastor LarryQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I have at least 25 books on this subject and this is one of the best. Walvoord makes the most sense concerning the rapture of the church. I have issues with people who have only looked at one side and not the other and try to teach. Walvoord is well studied and fits various levels of educated studies. His studies on all the topics are well thought out, and I agree with most of his conclusions.

Dr. Walvoord, in interacting with Ladd's book "The Blessed Hope," wrote, "The fact is that neither the post-tribulationism nor pre-tribulationism is an explicit teaching of scripture. The Bible does not in so many words state either." Ladd notes this is an exact quote from his copy of Walvoord's book published in 1957. This admission was deleted from subsequent printings of the book. (The Last Things, page 64). Was the phrase, which seems crucial, deleted? If so, why? I suggest readers of Walvoord also read "The Last Things" by Ladd (only about 100 pages).
