Tell us a little about yourself. After lecturing at the University of Sri Lanka, I moved to Canada. I hold a B.A.(Sri Lanka) , B.A Hons (Univ.of London UK, M.A.(Dalhousie) Ph.D.(McMaster).I am Dean Emeritus, Masters College & Seminary, Visiting Professor in Philosophy & Religion, Ordained Minister Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada involved in Inter-religious dialogues, Conferences, and ministerial work among developing churches especially in GTA
What was your motivation behind this project? When I lectured Hinduism to Hindus, Buddhism to Buddhists and Islam to Muslims at Universities, one recurrent asked of me: Why do I prefer to be a Christian? This book is a response to that question.
What do you hope folks will gain from this project? I do hope that that this book will be a good text book at a undergraduate and graduate level to students in Religion and to those seriously interested in witnessing in our multi-religious world
How were you personally impacted by working on this project? I was impacted in a personal manner by the wholehearted way scholars of other faiths helped me in my research. I also realized that we can present Christ without the polemics of comparing religions.
Who are your influences, sources of inspiration or favorite authors / artists? Non-Christian and Christian Scholars and Pastors who have enriched me in my life's journey
Anything else you'd like readers / listeners to know: I do hope that this book will encourage scholars of other faiths to seriously consider the uniqueness of Christ without being threatened .
